Job Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic technological vision, planning, execution and implementation for IT infrastructure and security initiatives to meet both current and future needs.

Define and manage the requirements and implementation of new IT infrastructure and security technology projects. Present business justification to Leadership Council to seek approval on infrastructure and security initiatives and costs. 

Participate in the preparation of the annual budget. Accountable for the tracking and controlling the Infrastructure & Security annual operating and capital budgets. 

Research and recommend business case justification for IT infrastructure and security spending and initiatives. Collaborate with leaders to ensure infrastructure supports the organization's current and future needs.

Establish and monitors the delivery of technical services through the oversight of service level agreements with partners and monitoring of systems, programs, security, and equipment performance.

Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends changes that will drive continuous improvement of new and existing programs, ensuring that Home Hardware's technology posture remains reliable, secure, and fiscally sound.

Direct the assessment and communicate the risks associated with current IT infrastructure and future infrastructure related investments and purchases. Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies and standards for the acquisitions, implementation and operation of all infrastructure and security technology.

Ensure that the functional area is properly staffed, skilled and organized.  Manage and motivate subordinate staff.  Build Team Member capacity, supporting their professional development for current and future business needs.  Foster environment of open communication and a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent.

Extensive knowledge of enterprise-grade, technology solutions and third-party provided outsourced systems maintaining currency in technology advances.

A strong background leading and negotiating; developing talent; and creating operational, technical, and financial solutions as a trusted technology partner

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple, often competing priorities.

Excellent understanding of project management and portfolio management principles.

In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.

Ability to articulate highly complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong business acumen with proven ability to drive business relationships to successfully meet a broad variety of business partner needs.

Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.

Sound knowledge and experience of retail and wholesale business sectors is an asset.
