Senior PM Job Description:

Key Accountabilities:

Project Planning & Execution
• Translates Firm vision into high level scope and design for complex programs
• Initiates and leads business case development, leveraging strong understanding of project management framework, deep insight into user/Firm issues, together with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Facilitates joint planning with key sttakeholders in the early stages of project formation
• Creates, manages and Integrates project plans
• Creates metrics and manages with a higher level of information  
• Accountable for overall Project Delivery
• Manages project scope using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions.
• Governance & oversight of all projects
• Management of all required documents (Project Charter,CR, Statur Reports, Charter Financials etc.)
• Identifies and manages overall project costs and budgets
• Anticipates and quantifies tactical, operational and strategic risks
• Resolves complex issues and conflicts;  escalates to executive level where required
• Resolves ambiguity
• Facilitates the integration of technology solutions
• Promotes innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implements best practices
• Facilitates schedule and cost forecasting and determine risk and issues

Relationships & Communication
• Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationship with business partner
• Collaborates with colleagues across the organization to get things done
• Manages project communications including status reports to all stakeholders
• Provides senior management with timely updates on operational program issues
• Selects external vendors and third parties and manages the relationships at the program level

Manage project delivery from small to large, complex projects and programs

• Project Size: $1 - $10MM

• Resource Management: Directs and oversees multiple and multi-disciplined project teams, with complex external relationships
• Vendor / 3rd Party Involvement: Multiple project teams and possibility of multiple vendors
• Requirements definition: unclear and uncertain requirements
• Technology Complexity: Moderately complex to complex technology

Knowledge / Experience:

Experience (to enter position)

• Deep experience in Project management and Change management capability

• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Successfully and simultaneously managed a minimum of 3 Type 2 projects with emphasis on some of the following:
* High Impact or Business Risk
* Uncertain Business Requirements
* New Technology

• Undergraduate Degree
• Master’s degree in business or related discipline (as asset)
• PMP Designation (an asset)
