Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform application installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.

  • Develop, support and maintain technical specifications and documentation.

  • Work with team members to evaluate/co-ordinate upgrades to CRS web  application environment when deemed necessary/beneficial.

  •  Deploy developed solutions, once tested, to our production environment.

  •  Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered.

  •  Contribute to planning and change management.

  •   Respond to incidents, and diagnose and resolve issues.

o     Design, develop, test and deploy new web applications and related components based on business and technical requirements.

 

o     Develop proof-of-concept technologies for proposed solutions and determines their validity.

 

o     Work with architect/designers to create and build plans based on agreed upon priorities using WCM/Portal and application server based solutions.

 

o     Work with the development team to build automated deployment processes to reduce the time to market. Ensure that the system is maintained and any defects are resolved as early as possible.

 

o     As an IBM technical expert, work with and guide team members in optimizing solutions, supporting system implementation, and administering and configuring activities. team members include project managers, business analysts, application developers, and other technical specialist.

 

o     Participate in planning sessions and, where requested, provide recommendations to enterprise level software and hardware acquisitions and deployments.

 

o     Identify issues, recommend, propose and implement solutions.

 

 

Must Have:

 

o     Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field

 

o     10+ years experience in Web technologies, including 5+ years in IBM, Websphere technologies, LINUS/UNIX, Windows, Shell Scripting, PERL, Struts, SSO JEE and Web programming.

 

o     Experience as Sr. Architect, Sr. Technical Specialist

 

o     Experience with AGILE and/or SCRUM Master role would be an asset.

 

 

Nice to Have:

 

  •   Previous retail/supply chain experience
